David Asmus ((German, English, History, Government))

DAVID D. ASMUS, died Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.  Mr. Asmus was born August 25, 1936, in Fort Morgan to David and Alice Albert Asmus.  He graduated from Fort Morgan High School with the Class of 1954 and earned his Master of Arts degree from the University of Colorado.  He taught at Central Junior High, Reno High School, and Pahrump Valley High School.  He was honored to have the school yearbook dedicated to him for 5 consecutive years while in Pahrump.  He took an early retirement due to multiple sclerosis.  Mr. Asmus is survived by two sisters; Carol Smythe of Frankston, Texas, and Joan Lowers of Fort Morgan, Colorado.  He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Ray G. Miller, and two sisters, Virginia Meininger and Marilu Eatmon.  Cremation has taken place.  Interment will be held at Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan.
